|Peter Morton - Chair of ComMutual Board
Peter Morton’s career has predominantly been in regeneration, economic and business development, and he has also run his own consultancy business. Peter has worked in Merseyside and the wider North West region, with his business development career culminating in the role of Chief Executive of Business Link operating companies in North Manchester and Greater Merseyside. He more recently served as Director of the Mersey Waterfront Regional Park, and CEO of the Social Enterprise Network. He also has extensive experience as a Non-Executive Director in sports governance, health and business, having served as Vice Chair of England Basketball, and as a NED on Knowlsey PCT. He was also a Director of Young Enterprise North West and Prince’s Trust. He has been Chair of the Toxteth FireFit Hub Board since April 2013.
Peter Brennan is the Labour Councillor for Old Swan. Peter has previously worked for the Youth Offending Team. Peter has been a member of the Merseyside Fire and Rescue Authority for two years and is currently the Labour Ambassador for Youth Engagement.
Elaine Stewart was a senior regeneration manager with Liverpool City Council for many years with extensive experience of physical, environmental and community regeneration projects across the City. In 2012 she left to set up her own consultancy business assisting public sector agencies with regeneration projects . Elaine recently worked for a charity for a year helping to set up a new service area and she currently does voluntary work for the British Red Cross.
|Stephanie Donaldson MA (hons) CPFA
Stephanie Donaldson is a Group Chief Internal Auditor at the Government Internal Audit Agency (GIAA) with a centre of Government portfolio which covers the Cabinet Office, Her Majesty’s Treasury and the Department for Exiting the European Union (DExEU). Previously the Head of Internal Audit at Merseytravel, Stephanie has also worked in Internal Audit in local government and in the retail sector. Stephanie is a Chartered Accountant and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy (CIPFA). She is also volunteers as a CIPFA NW Society Council Member and chairs the CIPFA TIS (Technical Information Service) Editorial Board.
Colleen Martin is the Assistant Director - Supporting Communities at Liverpool City Council. Previously Colleen has taught in a school in Japan and has done a lot of sports based volunteering including several Olympic Games. Colleen has been on the Toxteth FireFit Hub Board for three years.
Phil Garrigan - Deputy Chief Fire Officer - Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service
Phil Garrigan is the Deputy Chief Fire Officer of Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service with corporate responsibility for Strategic Planning, Community Risk Management, People Organisational development, Equality &Diversity and Collaboration and Station Change & Resources.
Phil joined Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service in 1990 and during that time has served at a variety of Community Fire Stations - working in some of Merseyside’s most vulnerable and deprived communities. He brings a strong community focus to the Service and recognising the unique position of trust and respect in which the FRS is held, has used this and the professionalism of Merseyside FRS staff to tackle the real underlying factors which affect risk.
Phil now leads on CFOA’s Children and Young People programme.
Phil is married with two lovely children – well they are lovely most of the time!
