April intake for the Ready for Work ProjectCONTENT STARTS
Following the ongoing success for the Ready for Work project, we are looking for more candidates to take part in the employment programme.
ComMutual, The Big Trust and partnering agencies are delivering the programme providing employment support and experience for people who age 18 and over and unemployed.
Ready for Work offers people the chance to return to the workplace and builds confidence and skills. The programme includes:
- Two days training
- Two weeks work placement with a leading employer
- Travel will be refunded and lunch is provided
The Ready for Work timetable:
Thursday 25th April Day 1 employability training
City centre location TBC (travel expenses will be reimbursed and lunch provided)
Friday 26th April Day 2 employability training
City centre locations TBC (travel expenses will be reimbursed and lunch provided)
- Monday 29th April - two week placement begins (costs for travel and lunch will be covered)
- Followed by six months of support from a mentor.
To be considered for the programme, you must be:
- Age 18 or over
- Registered as living in an LMH or Regenda home (Liverpool City Region)
One of the previous candidates who took advantage of the opportunity, included LMH tenant Simon.

Some candidates may be facing obstacles and initiatives such as the Ready for Work Project can help break down those barriers, allowing people to reach their potential.”
In addition to the work placement, candidates will have access to ongoing support from a job coach for six months following the placement, to maximise potential in the search for employment.
Ready for Work is free and will not affect your benefits entitlements.
