Calling for Candidates for the Ready for Work ProjectCONTENT STARTS
Earlier this year, ComMutual teamed up with The Big Trust and partnering agencies to deliver the Ready for Work project which provided employment support and experience for people who age 18 and over and unemployed.
Returning for a new intake of candidates, the Ready for Work Project is back and this time, ComMutual, is working alongside Regenda Homes to help The Big Trust find suitable placements across the Liverpool City Region.
Ready for Work offers people the chance to return to the workplace and builds confidence and skills. The programme includes:
- Two days training
- Two weeks work placement with a leading employer
- Travel will be refunded and lunch is provided
To be considered for the programme, you must be:
- Age 18 or over
- Registered as living in an LMH or Regenda home (Liverpool City Region)
One of the previous candidates who took advantage of the opportunity, included LMH tenant Simon.
“Taking part in the interview allowed me to explain what I have to offer, said Simon. “The training helped me prepare to return to employment.”
Helen Murphy, Community Investment Officer at ComMutual said, “Employment is one of ComMutual’s key impact areas, providing the community with the tools and resources needed to prepare for the workplace. Some candidates may be facing obstacles and initiatives such as the Ready for Work Project can help break down those barriers, allowing people to reach their potential.”
In addition to the work placement, candidates will have access to ongoing support from a job coach for six months following the placement, to maximise potential in the search for employment.
Ready for Work is free and will not affect your benefits entitlements.
The programme commences on 20th September and enrolment for the next Ready for Work is now open!
